Nicolas joined the volunteers in the dark, early hours of the morning to document a platypus survey along Moggill Creek as it happened, followed by a celebratory breakfast.
On the 14th of September 2025, the Moggill Creek Catchment marked the twentieth anniversary of its volunteer platypus surveys, a citizen science effort sustained over two decades through the dedication of Dr Christine Adams-Hosking, Dr Tamielle Brunt and many volunteers, and continuing with the support of Platypus Watch and Wildlife Queensland.
